AMI   AMI: IF YOU DON'T KNOW US......

AMI ( Amici Missioni Indiane - Indian Missions' Friends) started to operate in 1982.

AMI is composed by different people, belonging to different political and religious viewpoints. One common issue is the will to organize little projects to help directly common people, and overall children, in some countries.

The following are the main branches of our activities :

INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION

AMI operates strictly related to government agencies only, in Italy and in the foreign countries. These agencies report notices about the children officially declared as 'abandoned' and 'destituted'. After the link to adoptive parents, done by these government agencies, AMI support the new adoptive family on the administrative issues and in documents collection and check. With the document ready, the adopting family will go directly to the foreign country to complete the adoption process locally, with the support of our local referees. The period needed to stay in the foreign country is different for every country, according to local rules and laws.

SPONSORSHIPS

2500 Italian friends are financing, by our organization, 2500 children & boys in India, Brazil and Ethiopia ( parentless children and village's or favelas' youths, too).Mainly we try to ensure them a chance to go to school and learning for a job. It's a work that we ask sponsors to manage for some years....

ACTIVITIES FOR PEOPLE

We are working together with 40 institutes in India, Brazil and Ethiopia, in order to grant by them the help to the population around, sending medicines, opening little hospitals, building schools and other little infrastructures directly useful for common people.

CULTURE IN ITALY.

We organize happenings, shows and exhibitions, conferences and other meetings, with the goal to finance ourselves, and to promote a deeper knowledge in Italy of foreign cultures, and a more positive involvement of Italian people.
